It's been a mixed bag lately. Some really good picks and some terrible ones. Undaunted, we enter the day with a streak of 2 wins in ESPN's streak for the cash.
First pick will be Texas A&M at home versus Missouri. Aggies are on the NCAA bubble and need a win on senior day to improve their status. Mizzou just average on the road this year. The astrology gives a slight edge to Aggie coach Turgeon over Tiger coach Anderson.
Our next pick will be West Virginia to upset Louisville at home on Senior nite. Again, Mountaineers are a bubble team who need to keep winning to get an invite. Cardinals may have Big East title sewn up before they ever take the court, depending on Pit / Uconn winner. WV coach Huggins astrology suggests we haven't heard the last of his team this year. Pitino could lose the battle tonite, but still win the war.
Last pick of the nite is fighting match between Gabriel Gonzaga and Shane Carwin. Taking Gonzaga based on better astrology.

Streaking in this morn @ 3. Looking for win no.4 with golfer Casey as he squares off against Geoff Ogilvy. Transiting Sun squaring Ogilvy's natal Saturn means he will work very hard to win, but is likely to be disappointed. Very dramatic transits for Casey as the transiting Moon opposes natal Uranus and the Sun squares natal Neptune. Helpful transits include
Mars and Mercury to his natal Node, transiting Venus sextile natal Venus, transiting Jupiter sextile natal Neptune, and transiting Neptune trine natal Jupiter. It's a mixed bag for Casey that I believe will help him win the tournament.
Yesterday started off with a loss as Liverpool was killed by Middlesborough (or something like that), in their soccer match. I don't remember the astrology of that one, but let's just say I missed it. Forgot to mention that I had chosen golfer Briny Baird over JJ Henry in their made-up contest. The void of course Moon was making good aspects to his chart, while Henry had no late degree planets to benefit from. My second win was the OK St. Cowboys over Texas. Again, the void of course Moon was helping Cowboy coach Ford. I also was going to pick the Houston Rockets over the Chicago Bulls, but I didn't get the pick made in time. Lucky for me because @ 9:33 pm CST, as the Moon entered Taurus, it was as if someone flipped a switch and the Bulls suddenly stormed back from about 15 down in the last 5 min. of regulation to win the game. (By the way, Rocket Ron Artest may be the most emotionally unstable player in the NBA!)
So I turned my attention to another sport that I don't really follow, boxing. Individual sports lend themselves to astrological analysis more than team sports, as their are fewer factors influencing the contest. This was an easy pick for me because the transiting Moon was opposing Juan Diaz' natal Saturn. As I've mentioned, hard aspects to Saturn are the hardest to overcome. Nevertheless, Diaz was leading the fight on points until he was knocked out in the 9th round, by the champ, Marquez.

Damn, I stunk with most of my picks yesterday, missing 3 of 4. The Streak is back down to 0 and I hope to get back on track with a soccer match between Liverpool and Middleborough ( I think) I picked Liverpool because it is the home of the Beatles, they have a better record, and their manager has better transits.
My streak ended at 4 (again) as golfer Bo Van Pelt lost 69 to 65 in his made-up contest with Bill Haas. Apparently, transiting Jupiter sextile natal Mercury and trine natal Saturn won the day for Haas.
Also lost with golfer Luke Donald in a close match with Ernie Els. They both golfed well, but Els was slightly better. In his case, it looks like the trine from transiting Mars to natal Jupiter helped him overcome more difficult transits.
Got back on track with golfer Geoff Ogilvy over Camilo Villegas, as I accurately predicted that the trine from transiting Sun to natal Uranus would result in him "upsetting" his opponent.
Lost another pick as the Lakers had their worst shooting nite of the season against the Nuggets. Makes me wonder if the square from transiting Pluto to natal Jupiter will have the same effect on the Lakers as this aspect had for Jack Del Rio and the Jacksonville Jaguars this past NFL season. Namely, internal power struggles resulting in job insecurity for Jackson, and a disappointing end to the season for the Lakers.
Picking Oklahoma State to avenge their earlier loss to Texas. Void of Course Moon forming a Yod in Cowboy coach Ford's chart. No late degree stuff for Texas coach Barnes. Ford also getting a trine from transiting Node to natal Uranus. Cowboys should continue to trend upward.
Tonite I will take the Houston Rockets @ Chicago Bulls as transiting Mercury forms a Grand Trine for Rockets coach Adelman to natal Jupiter / Uranus trine.
Tomorrow I definitely like the Illinois Fighting Illini at home versus Michigan St. Spartan coach Izzo getting a square from transiting Moon to natal Sun as well as the dreaded square from transiting Mars to natal Saturn. This is a double whammy that spells certain defeat for his team.

Sure missed playing "Streak" the past few days as I was out of town, selling advertising. (how inconvenient!) At least I made the rent and can sleep in my own bed this weekend. The streak is up to 4 and we are looking for win no. 5 this morn as I picked golfer Bo Van Pelt to finish with a better round today than Bill Haas. No, I have never heard of these guys, but it's a 50/50 proposition and I chose Van Pelt because the Moon is transiting his Jupiter in Aries. Our next pick will be golfer Geoff Ogilvy over Camilo Villegas in match play. This is not such an easy pick as Villegas is the favorite and has been playing superbly (yes, i researched it). Vilegas should continue to play well as the transiting Node is conjunct his natal Venus. If Ogilvy should win, it would be something of an upset. What makes me think that this is likely? The Sun is making a trine to his natal Uranus, planet of upsets. He will certainly surprise some people today, perhaps even himself. The Moon transits his Jupiter by sextile also, which brings much luck with it.
Or I could choose to leave this matchup alone and instead take Luke Donald over Ernie Els in another match that starts at roughly the same time. The streakmaster only allows one pick at a time and you have to wait until it is final before you can pick another. (kind of annoying). The main difference between these two charts is that Els is receiving a square from the transiting Moon to natal Mars. This combination indicates the type of emotional turmoil that accompanies losing. Donald, on the other hand, is receiving the supportive trine from the Moon to his natal Sun/Neptune conjunction. Neptune, as the planet of extremes, brings out the best and worst in all of us, depending on the current transits. Look for Donald to play his best golf.
This evening I will pick the Lakers over the Nuggets. This game sets up nicely for the Nuggets as they have had a couple days off, while the Lakers played last night at home and must travel to Denver for tonite's game.Too many good aspects in Phil Jackson's chart to pick against him tho as his natal Uranus is benefiting from Moon/Mercury/Mars/Venus, Pluto squaring his Jupiter indicates internal power struggles on the team, but now is not the time to oppose Jackson successfully. Nuggets coach George Karl's transits are not terrible, and I expect his team to play reasonably well. In the end tho, the Moon's opposition to his natal Neptune should leave him with the taste of losing in his mouth. Look for an exciting finish that will fall to the Lakers.
Oh yes, forgot to mention that the Louisville Cardinals had little trouble with the Georgetown Hoyas for win number 4 in my streak. Hoya coach Thompson had that "Hey, what happened?" look on his face most of the game, that accompanies hard aspects from the current Saturn/Uranus opposition. Speaking of this opposition, I have noticed a lot of games recently with wild point swings. Texas A&M came back to win on a buzzer beater after trailing by as many as 18. Kansas was way down early against OU, stormed back to go up by a lot, then nearly lost as OU made a big run to make it close at the end. Expect to see a lot more of these types of sudden reversals and twists of fate until further notice sometime next year.
One more thing...Transiting Neptune doing a number on OU coach Jeff Capel as the conj. to his natal Sun indicates lingering effects from the Blake Griffin injury. It may take awhile for Griffin to get back to speed. Meanwhile Capel will have to inspire others to pick up the slack.

A good day streaking on ESPN's Streak for the Cash. Boston Celtics had little trouble dispatching the Phoenix Suns on the road, despite the absence of Kevin Garnett. Point guard Rajon Rondo carried the Celtics (on his birthday), to the win. Kyle Busch came in 3rd place and Jimmie Johnson finished several spots back. My streak is up to 3! (Hearty backslaps, all around).
Taking Louisville over Georgetown tomorrow for win number 4. Take a gander at Hoya Coach Thompson's chart sometime. (You can get his DOB from wikipedia). ZOINKS! My father complex pales in comparison to the one he must have. Sun, Saturn, Chiron conjunct @20 - 22 Pisces, square Jupiter in Gemini, and trine Neptune in Scorpio. The current SA/UR conjunction is kicking his ass all over the place. I hope that T UR within minutes of his N SU doesn't decide that THIS is the time for an upset. Please pray for the Louisville Cardinals!
Started off well yesterday on my streaking as Mars / Saturn did a number on Ogilvy. Anytime I see this square it's an automatic pick against. It is probably the worst aspect an athlete can have.
Continued on my streak to 2 in a row as Texas A&M got past Texas Tech. I almost didn't pick A&M as I noticed that their coach is coming up on transiting Sun conj. natal Saturn. Decided to try my luck anyway as this aspect was still a few degrees shy. Mental note...pick against A&M on Tue as they travel to Nebraska under the SU/SA conj.
On to OU at Texas for 3 in a row. Not so fast my friend! Yes, I noticed OU coach Capel was getting a 1st qtr square from transiting Venus to natal Saturn. Yes, I noticed that transiting Neptune is conjunct his Sun. These are poor aspects, but I didn't suspect that they would result in All American Blake Griffin getting knocked out of the game in the first half, with a concussion and bloody nose! The Sooners fell just shy of victory against a very motivated Texas team. Not looking so hot for OU's prospects as Neptune will continue to jerk with Capel a while longer. Looking forward to their matchup with a Kansas team on Monday that is playing their best ball of the season.
So today I started my streak at one again with a blind pick on some soccer game. Looking for win number 2 this afternoon as I am picking the Boston Celtics to win on the road at Phoenix. Suns coach Alvin Gentry is getting a square to his Saturn today (from Sun or Mars, I can't remember which), and that's a good enough reason to pick against him.
Then I will take Kyle Busch over Jimmie Johnson to see which one has the better finish in whatever NASCAR race they are running today. Neither horoscope looked great, but Busch has N JU at 15 Aquarius which is being transited by Moon, Mars and Jupiter today. Moon / Jupiter aspects are among the best for winning, as evidenced in the Super Bowl as Mike Tomlin won under this aspect.
Wish me luck!

Trying to gain traction on ESPN's Streak for the Cash. It takes 27 wins in a row to win a cool million. This seems nearly impossible, but I am encouraged that one intrepid soul did win a million by picking 24 in a row. Since then, they changed the number to 27, but I haven't seen anyone get beyond 18.
I am using astrology to pick my winners (and losers) lately. Still haven't gotten past 4 in a row. Today I will pick Mickelson over Ogilvy, TX A&M over TX Tech and OU over Texas. The first pick is based upon hard aspects in Ogilvy's chart from Transiting Mars to Natal Saturn. The other 2 are not based on astrology, but upon general sports knowledge. Texas Tech is dreadful and OU is nearly unstoppable.
Would like to pair up with other sports astrology junkies as a means of supporting one another. I don't use horary techniques anymore, as I prefer "Real Time" methods. Horary is too complicated for me, but I don't rule out it's potential value.
For more info on the methods I use, go to www.courtneyrobertshome.com and click on the heading Real Time and Sports. See the videos, and then go to the heading, Research Results for more detail. These are very simple and practical methods that anyone can do, and it will increase your understanding of astrology, overall.
Anyone else game?
